Parent Memo 11/8/19
PARENT MEMO Friday, November 8, 2019
Apparently, the 6th graders conspired for good this week! Way to go!
This week’s Shout-Out’s go to:
Aiden, Justin, Diego, Ian: Asked to clean up and organize the huge bookshelves in the back of the 6th grade class.
Aiden, Alex, Justin, Sarah, Judith, Isabella, Galean: Cleaned, organized, repaired and resupplied the 6th grade student supply center.
Isabella, Isaac, Cameron, Lillian: Helped a fellow 6th grade student repair and move a puzzle that he had been working on for a few weeks and other students had messed it up and left it.
Liam – gr. 3 – Helped the PreK Teaching Assistant with the chairs in the lunchroom.
Caleb and Molly – gr 7 – The whole 7th grade class left to go to PE and left a mess in the classroom. Caleb and Molly both stayed back, on their own initiative, and helped clean up everybody else’s mess before going over to PE class.
Good job to all of our Shout-Out’s this week who represent our school so well.

BOOK FAIR RESULTS
Thanks to all parents for a very successful book fair. We greatly appreciate your support and look forward to the next one in the Spring.
REPORT CARDS AND HONORS POLICY
Earlier this year, I discovered an incorrect edit in the family handbook. It escaped me during the proofreading phase, but let me clarify for you now the school Honors Policy for 1st and 2nd honors. It will be corrected as well in the family handbook for next year.
First Honors: All A’s in the academic areas (Religion, Reading, English, Social studies, Science, Math)
Second Honors: A minimum of two A’s and all other B’s in the academic areas.
Students may not receive lower than a “C” in handwriting.
A student may not receive any “U’s” or “N’s” in any special area class or on any conduct grade in any class.
Please note that report cards will be available on November 18th. As today is the last day of the trimester, we will be removing access to report cards on Grade-link this weekend in order to prepare the report cards.
Unfortunately, it looks as if St. Patrick will not have an entry in this year’s Rotary Christmas Parade. We have not been able to acquire a truck that met parade regulations for a float. Thanks to those who volunteered to be on the committee. Maybe next year!
