Thank you to all who participated in our Student Council Veterans Day fundraiser. We were able to donate $100 to the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation and $100 to Fisher House.

Student Council will have a DONUT AND HOT CHOCOLATE sale from 7:30 – 8:00 am in Kennedy Hall on December 17th. Please see flyer below and join in this fun event. Only pre-orders for boxes, please.

Also on December 17th, Student Council will sponsor a PAJAMAS DAY. Bring in $1 and wear your PJ’s to school!!!! Students will be reading books with their book buddies that day as well.

 DUKE TIPS QUALIFYING STUDENTS

We are very pleased to announce that 9 of our 7th grade students qualified to participate in the DUKE TIPS TALENT SEARCH program. This is a long-standing program sponsored by Duke University that recognizes high-achieving students in Reading and Math and allows them to take the SAT or ACT tests while they are in 7th grade. Results of this test can open up scholarship and program opportunities for colleges and universities down the line. In order to qualify, a student had to score in the 95th percentile in either Reading or Math (or both) on the recent Iowa Assessment taken this past October. Our high achievers were:

Molly Barbour, Riley Bostaph, Zack Clark, Caleb Fuda, Reagan Grambusch, Sarah Houghton, Dylan Clark, Carlo Valencia and Sophia White.

We are very proud of our students and their achievements.

WARM WELCOMES – ADVENT OUTREACH

Our Advent Outreach service project is still in full swing. Please donate what school supplies you can based on the grade level designated. Our goal is 5 backpacks per class!!!

PARISH GIVING TREE

The Parish Christmas Giving Tree will be set up in the gathering space of the church on November 22 and remain until the weekend of December 14-15. This is the tree where you can take an ornament and provide something for a person or family in need. Please consider using a SCRIP card to buy what you want. It helps the family in need AND helps the school at the same time.
