Parent Memo 4/20/18
Hope to see everyone at the Shag Hop tonight. Maybe I’ll finally understand what Shag dancing actually is. I’ve been told that I’m a disgrace to my Southern heritage because I don’t know what Shag dancing is. In my defense, although born and bred a Southerner, I was raised for many years in Florida and that’s really just a warmer version of New York down there. So I’m ready to be schooled. See you there.
SANDHILLS FARM TO TABLE: Locally grown fruits and vegetables, breads, cakes and jellies delivered directly to school for pickup on Thursday afternoons. This is a wonderful way to help our local farmers and keep you out of the grocery store so often.
PTO SPRING “SHAG HOP” and “SUMMER TO REMEMBER AUCTION” The PTO Spring Shag Hop and Summer to Remember Auction is tonight! This is a fun, family-friendly event to close out the school year and support St. Patrick School. You can pay at the door tonight if you have not already purchased tickets.
REGISTRATION FOR THE 2018/2019 SCHOOL YEAR: Classes for next year are quickly filling, so please contact the school right away if you intend to return next year. If you will not be returning, it is important for us to know that as well.
FIELD DAY-Tuesday, April 24th: Students may wear shorts, t-shirts, tennis shoes. Bring a hat, sunscreen and a water bottle. Please note that because of the Field Day schedule, there will be NO HOT LUNCH. All students and volunteers will need to BRING A LUNCH.
We will need volunteers at the school by 7:45 a.m. the morning of the event. Please email [email protected] if you are able to volunteer.
BLOOMING WITH KINDNESS: The Student Council will be holding their Blooming With Kindness flower sale during lunch on Monday. Students will have the opportunity to purchase a cut-out flower to write a positive message to a friend, classmate or teacher. The cost is $0.50 per flower. The flowers will be displayed on a bulletin board in the school building. Once the bulletin board is taken down, the flowers will be delivered to their recipients.
SCIENCE NIGHT: Family Science Night will be held in St Brigid Hall on Wednesday, April 25th beginning at 6:30 pm. A pizza dinner will be served in Kennedy Hall starting at 6:00 pm.
