Parent Memo 5/18/18

Congratulations to all of our fine athletes who were honored at our annual Sports Banquet last night. A big THANK YOU also needs to go to Ms. Rogers who coordinated all of the athletics this year. Next year, Mr. Valente will step in as Athletic Director. We also thank our dedicated volunteer coaches not just for giving of their time and talent, but also giving of their wisdom and counsel in raising our kids to be responsible citizens with a strong sense of fair play. You are an invaluable part of the “village” that helps raise our kids.

In Service,

Ms. Laura

CHESS CLUB VICTORY: This past weekend, members of our St. Patrick Catholic School Chess Club competed in a scholastic level U.S. Chess Federation Tournament against other students from across North Carolina. They all earned points with ties and wins toward their national ranking. One of our young competitors, 4th grader Justin Vela, brought home a 1st place finish for the school with his tough and consistent play all day. Congratulations to Justin and the rest of the team who were able to compete, Jack Davis and Diego Jimenez-Martinez.

EXTENDED CARE SUPERVISOR CHANGE: Please note that Maureen O’Leary, one of the Extended Care supervisors, is no longer employed with the school. Substitutes will be filling in for her for the rest of the year and a permanent replacement will be hired for next year.

YEARBOOKS: The 2017-2018 yearbook will be distributed next week and the entire school will gather together for a yearbook signing on Wednesday. There are a very limited number of yearbooks still available for sale in the school office. The cost is $50 each and they will be sold on a first-come first-serve basis.

If you have a chance, take a look at it.
