Parent Memo 5/25/18

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL IS THURSDAY, MAY 31st. It is a 12:15 pm Dismissal Day.
There will be Extended Care

Today is the graduation of our 8th grade class. I must admit, it is bittersweet. I’m happy for the graduates to be completing their schooling here and moving on to more exciting and adventurous opportunities, but I’m also sad because I had so little time with them. I barely got to know them, and now they are leaving. I would certainly hope that they know that St. Patrick’s is always their home and they can come back to visit us at any time. I know they will go far in life. On behalf of the faculty and staff, we wish them all well and ask our Lord to keep them in his protection and care throughout their lives.

In Service,

Ms. Laura

The school will be bidding farewell to Ms. Berndt and Mrs. Rosenberg at the end of this school year. We wish them both well and thank them for their dedication and service to the school.

We will be welcoming a new teacher, Ms. Angela Nizza. Angela is moving to Fayetteville from Orlando, Florida. She is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She currently works for the Diocese of Orlando and is excited to be joining us next year. We will also be welcoming Mrs. Elsa Baker as a co-teacher/assistant in the PreK class. Mrs. Baker also comes from Florida and carries PreK certification. She currently is a co-teacher in a PreK class. The 3rd grade class will welcome a co-teacher/assistant, Mrs. Michelle Schimp. Mrs. Schimp has worked with our school in conjunction with Long Leaf Academy and has extensive experience in individualized teaching.

Of course, you know that Mrs Fitzpatrick will be retiring and we are excited to have Mrs. Jennifer Mathieu as our new school secretary.  Chris Hatcher will, once again, be retiring.  We thank her for her dedication to the school for so many years and for stepping in as Interim Principal and Vice Principal this year.   We will miss you!
