Parent Memo Nov. 1, 2019

PARENT MEMO           Friday, November 1, 2019

We are pleased to see more and more Shout-Out’s being given from one student to another.

This week’s Shout-Out’s go to:

Annie, Tate, Kaleb, Amelia and Victoria – all 8th grade – When the Book Fair arrived, these students volunteered to bring all the books and displays in and help Ms. Ottilige with setting up the fair. It was a super help to her.

Alex – gr. 6 – Alex helped a PreK student in morning care because the morning care monitor was busy with another student. Thanks Alex for looking out for the little ones.

Jiraya – gr. 2 – Jiraya has been doing a “Super Hero” job in the class. All of his hard work is starting to pay off with great grades!

Eden – gr 3 – Eden is a great helper in the classroom. Often she stays behind during dismissal for a minute or two to help clean up pencils and other loose things on the floor.

Liam – gr 3 – Liam is a big help on the playground. More than once he has cleaned up equipment left out when the bell rings to come back in. He also brings in jackets/sweaters for his classmates if they leave them on the playground.

Good job to all of our Shout-Out’s this week who represent our school so well.

In Service,

Ms. Laura

Join the school families and the Parish Families in Christ ministry on Saturday night at 6:00 in Kennedy Hall (lunchroom) for a MOVIE NIGHT. The Disney movie COCO will be shown. Admission is FREE and includes free popcorn! Candy, nachos and drinks will be on sale by the 8th graders as a fundraiser for their Washington DC trip. Please see flyer below. ALL CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT with the exception of the 8th graders working the concessions.

The PTO is excited to announce that the 3rd grade collected the most Box Tops this quarter with 449! Go 3rd grade! As a school, we collected 1081 Box Tops which earned us over $260. We will be restarting the competition, so keep collecting those Box Tops. The next competition will end on February 14th and the winning class will get donuts and hot chocolate. This quarter’s winners all received gift cards from Chick-fil-a redeemable for ice cream and cookies.

Thank you very much to the PTO and the Parish Families in Christ Ministry for making our annual Trunk or Treat so much fun. It was the biggest event so far and we look forward to expanding it even more every year.

Many thanks also to the Campbell family for the time and effort put into the Haunted House. As always, it was the highlight of the event.

A BIG Thank You from the 8th graders to Mrs. Adorjan for donating the nachos and her time at Trunk or Treat in support of the 8th Grade Fundraiser.  We truly appreciate her!
