Parent Memo Oct. 4, 2019
We are going to start posting our weekly “Shout-Out’s” in the parent memo as well in case you miss them on our facebook page. This week’s Shout-Out’s go to:
Amelia Chan for taking the initiative to fix little situations that others bypass without being asked to do so. Isabella Hughes for helping a fellow student gather their things after they fell on the floor, and Ashley Ojageer for cleaning up materials that her classmates had left out. All 3 are great role models for their classmates and younger students.
STUDENT COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVES
Congratulations to the following students who were elected by their peers to act as Class Representatives for the Student Council 2019-2020:
Michael Asante, Kaleb Fetzer, Sophia White, Dylan Clark, Ian Kim, Cameron Swain, Sarah Klickman, Azaleyah Mosqueda, Adam Bostaph.
Looks like it’s going to be a GREAT council this year.
Reminder that school pictures are Wednesday, October 16, 2019. Students are to wear regular full school uniforms for this picture. Click here to Pre-Order your St. Pat’s school pictures!
TRUNK OR TREAT
The annual Trunk or Treat and Haunted House is October 26th from 6:30 – 8:30. Please see the attached flyer for details. We also have a sign-up sheet if you would like to participate by decorating your trunk and passing out candy. We ask that, even if you are not decorating your trunk, every family send in one bag of candy which we use to help re-fill those trunks that run out of candy. We want to make sure there is plenty of candy to go around. In addition to the Trunk or Treating, there will be a Pumpkin Patch, a spooky Haunted House, a costume contest with prizes, and food for sale by the 8th grade class to help raise funds for their Washington DC trip in the spring. Come make it a fun evening with the family and bring friends! They don’t have to be part of the school to come join in the fun. Please see the flyers attached for details.
MARTIAL ARTS EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITY
I regret to announce that we did not have enough children to make a class for the martial arts extracurricular activity. A handful registered, but we needed a class of 20 to make it viable for the provider. Therefore, the activity at St. Patrick’s will be canceled for this year. However, if you would still like to pursue that activity for your child, please see the flyer below which gives information about locations, dates and times where these martial arts classes are offered around Fayetteville. At least it will give you some options.
The church office is hurting for volunteers to help them with clerical tasks and answering the phones during weekday office hours. If you feel you can dedicate some hours to this, please contact Joanne Messer at the church office at 910-323-2410 or by email at [email protected]. Remember that volunteer hours in service to the church also count toward your service hour requirement at the school. Just make sure you log the hours into the volunteer book in the school office.
